Do you think Hillary will give up if all the rest of the primaries go to Obama?

I have a feeling that she will be in there tooth and nail, even if it means destroying the party. But maybe I'm wrong.

Do you think Hillary will give up if all the rest of the primaries go to Obama?
No, she won't give up, she will lose. The FL and MI delegates won't be seated, if they are, the DNC loses all credibility. If Obama has the pledged delegate lead, some Hillary superdelegates might vote for him. Those superdelegates are uncommitted.
Reply:She wont lose the rest of the primaries. I think Texas is going to be hard for Obama, he can take Ohio though.
Reply:Trust your feeling niko,

this dishonest lady and her husband will do everything to harm honorable Senator Barack Hussein Obama and continue to spread lies and destroy her party, may Allah punish her and her perjurious husband
Reply:Yeah, trust your feeling. Hillary thinks the nomination in 2008 is her right and her destiny, and she will do anything to secure it, even if it mean destroying the Democratic Party in the process. She could give a damn about the Party...she only cares about herself and her aspirations.
Reply:No, that boy could win them all, and her superdelegates will give her the nomination
Reply:Lets hope that neather of them win
Reply:She will go down calling for a recount. And she will be very loud about it.
Reply:Let's wait and see.

Hillary has a lot of fight in her yet.

Obama's constant repetition of the same platitudes is starting to wear thin................yawn.
Reply:I don't think so, Hillary is not a give up person.
Reply:Hillary has to much experience under her belt to give up. If she lose she will go out like a champion.

Hillary is built to fight a good fight, she's a gladiator.

%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;Go Hillary!%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;
Reply:She'll only give up after crying profusely before reporters, stomping her feet relentlessly, and throwing anything she can get her hands on at Bill.

I'd pay money to see that.
Reply:No way. She is in to Denver. The remaining elections will not all go to Obama, though I would be pleased personally if so, but the Clintons can call in favors. That is why the shift in management- watch the messages get down and dirty ,the ole school style. And watch more super delegates come stand beside her in the next five days. Every win for Obama there will be a Clinton Media Drama of some sort. Anything to remove the attention to his wins. We as a people like winners. Now just watch. It might come down to someone having a short hospital stay but Obama's wins will be downsized and down played if they can help it.

It's their effort rather than hers.
Reply:She wont lose the rest of the primaries. She would strong plan travel to the Texa and Ohio will be support American people every single vote together put primaries right person her make clear understand. She was smart also know to how solve of problem will fix in the country and America so hopeful. We are belief win her.
Reply:If Obama wins the rest, he will get the nomination, as he will have more delegates, even counting super delegates.

Do you think the NRA is just plain wrong in some of their policies?

They have fought against every act of congress to make firearms safer. They fought against trigger locks, they fought against better serial number protection, against the assault weapons ban, against handgun background checks, against closing the gun show loophole.

Aren't some of these stances at best negligent, at worse criminally irresponsible to what we know about firearms saftey and preventing violent crime? Shouldn't the NRA get propose Gun control legislation that we all can live with, instead of fighting tooth and nail against even something as harmless as trigger locks and background checks?

Do you think the NRA is just plain wrong in some of their policies?
The NRA has taken the extreme position on guns, which inevitably renders them ridiculous.
Reply:Guns don't kill, people kill. Gun laws have no bearing on criminals. If it did thugs wouldn't have guns.
Reply:I believe people should be able to buy as many guns they can afford. But background checks are a must.
Reply:Anti-gunnies have no clue..
Reply:Nope not at all!!! NRA member and I thank God that they are working for me!!!
Reply:I'm just fighting to live in a free country. Looks like I am going to lose what few rights I have left that's all going to be history before long!
Reply:Gun control only ensures that the intended victims are unarmed. What makes you think that the people who will commit crimes would actually follow those laws?
Reply:Sorry - I'm one of those "pry it from my cold, dead hands" types.

Using this logic, shouldn't cars be banned? After all, look how many people die on our highways every year...and why is that different?
Reply:The NRA is fighting against everything because they believe in the "slippery slope", e.g. when you give something up, where do you stop? Before criticizing this mentality, the ACLU does it as well, supporting even the most extreme cases that no reasonable person could understand.

The reason this (and other) orgs take this action is it is easier to apply a black %26amp; white mentality, rather than making a decision on each and every case %26amp; it's merits.
Reply:Regardless of the NRA stance, some of these policies are now law....
Reply:This is the most repetitive answer to date, all I have to do is cut and paste from the last question:

Cut and Paste:

As I have posted elsewhere, the crack head still gets his crack, the heroin addict still gets needles, the pot head still gets his weed, the meth addict still get his hit. These are all criminal acts punishable under our laws but for some strange reason the criminal is still able to get an illegal substance, laws mean nothing to the lawless.
Reply:Yes.
Reply:No
Reply:That is how the NRA members feel about people who think like you. You have no clue why the bill of rights exists. Nor do you know what kind of politics brought it into being. The MA state legislature told the head of their representatives to the first US Congress to see that the amendments that became the Bill of Rights were passed and to see that no other business was carried out until they were acted upon. "You are to use any legal means to achieve these goals. Remember dueling is legal" Is a direct quote of part of that charge. Get an education about what you wish to tinker with before you make charges that are slanderous in nature.
Reply:I think their dues are a little high... does that count?
Reply:It is a statistical fact that other countries have reduced homicides significantly, by outlawing guns. I am not so sure that we should outlaw guns, it is a part of our heritage, which has a rich history. The gun is emblematic of self defense and freedom as we have earned it. From the days of colonies to that of a nation. What I do not understand is that the NRA opposes the banning of assault weapons. Perhaps the time has come to debate the access of assault weapons that are manufactured and designed to kill specifically, people. I am sure, their are some to say that guns don't kill, people do; but I might add 1 bullet will suffice over a clip or magazine of an AK47.
Reply:No!!!!! The NRA are freedom fighters...They look after the right to bare arms. Down the road is a police state just waiting for you individuals who toss in your rights...God help America.... Fear Fear Fear Loss Loss Loss Stupid....
Reply:simply put: YES
Reply:no.

They did not fight against the development of trigger locks, only laws that would make them mandatory. Such laws are stupid and endanger people from being able to quickly defend themselves.

Serial numbering endangers gun owners from tyranny. Once you have every gun cataloged, the government can easily take away our freedom and impose tyranny.

The assault weapons ban was based on looks of the weapon and not actual funtion. The legislation did nothing more than eliminate some guns, but leave others available. Long arms are rarely used in criminal enterprise, yet this bill targeted long arms.

Handgun background checks are inadequate. real criminals will always be able to get guns from, you guessed it, other criminals.

Describe this so called gun show loop-hole. So you mean that private enterprise and burdens must be passed onto the individual, instead of the government doing its job? The loophole law, so called, requires individuals to be police and narcs, keep accurate records, and should they fail, to serve jail. It is once again the government leaning on private enterprise to destroy economic freedom.

I agree with each and every one of the NRA's stance on these. Their arguements are better than mine, and I encourage you to read them before you judge them.

The worst time to have Clinton as President?

I am not a sexist, let me say that off the bat. Now, my question: Right now, is possibly the WORST time to have a woman as president. We are fighting tooth and nail to work with the Muslim countries, and having a helluva time doing it. Now, the Muslim culture of the middle east is a very, very, anti-woman's rights society. So, we're going to elect a female leader to deal with them? That will just make things soooo soooo much harder. They barely like us as it is, but they respect us. That will be gone if Clinton is in the white house. If they don't refuse to work with her outright, they won't take anything she says seriously. It is a serious issue, that I don't think people consider.

The worst time to have Clinton as President?
Yes, because she's a socialist and a defeatist, not because she's a women.
Reply:Hillary Clinton for President. There has never been a better time in history for it. We are fighting Muslim countries now because a Republican is in office. And because Bush is an idiot, and thinks we are too. Don't be so catty. Hillary is what you need for your children's future.
Reply:What does the sex of our president have to do with it? Other countries have had female leaders in the past and the world dealt with it.

You do sound like a sexist.
Reply:its the best time for her go hillary
Reply:So, you're suggesting a woman president shouldn't be chosen so we can appease the Muslim nations? The Muslim nations of the world won't refuse to work with Hillary Clinton, regardless of how they treat women in their own countries, they're not that stupid, they didn't refuse to work with Bhutto when she was Pakistan's Prime Minister.
Reply:First of all, I wouldn't say they respect us.

Second, while I do understand why you think those things, you clearly have no real concept of culture in the Middle Eastern region. There actually are women that hold political positions, believe it or not. Don't get me wrong, its far from equal, but to think that they would refuse to work with a woman politician is ridiculous.
Reply:That will be the Last Time

the ARAB COUNTRIES WILL WORK WITH US
Reply:This is why Obama is perferct. There is no doubt that Obama is the most charismatic and articulate, AND he said he is willing to talk to the leaders of IRAN, Pakistan, etc. He will create good relationships with them. He will also turn around all the Domestic problems we have hear at home. Like ridding washington of LOBBYISTS (corruption) So that we kind finally work toward the best interests of the NATION not big corporations.
Reply:Forget Hillary and Obama. They are embarrasing. they = death to the economy and stock market. Those are my two concerns.
Reply:Yes we are. Because she is the best candidate. No one is working with the Muslim countries or anyone else right now. Our country is in a state of turmoil and we need good leadership. No one respects the United States and if you ever travel overseas you will see how little respect other countries have for us. You are racist and should be ashamed of yourself, you have convinced yourself the the President is a person first and a position second. But, the President is a position first and a person second. Hillary will surround herself with very good people who will work with her to re-establish good relations with other countries. You are the only one who can not take her seriously because she is a woman. Hillary is for real and could very well be your next President.

Reply to Questing Dude:

Sure, I will be happy to explain.

Making war and invading countries is not the best way to work with people. No one in the current administration is for peace. The U.S. doing a very poor job in working with other countries on any scale.

Why am I not getting the Job? Is it the recession?

I have been unemployed now for 2 months. I have had multiple interviews resulting in me making it to the second interview 3 times and not getting the jobs. It is maddening to think that I am not getting the jobs that I feel I am qualified for. Is it our Countries recession that is causing me to fight tooth and nail for positions that are below my standards?

Why am I not getting the Job? Is it the recession?
Too many people competing for a limited number of jobs.

Have you tried a temp agency? You might be able to work a long-term temp job which will lead to a full-time position with the company. Sign up with multiple agencies....
Reply:I think it might partially have to do with what kind of job you are going for. Maybe the other people did a little bit better during their interview or maybe they had more experience. Maybe you should apply for other jobs that you can use your skills.
Reply:i have the same problem and I'm qualified for my jobs
Reply:maybe you are ovequalified.............
Reply:HERE IS AN ANSWER I JUST GAVE TO SOMEONE WHO ASKED A SIMILAR QUESTION. IT MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, BUT IT'S SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:

"I don't know if you do or do not have a clean disciplinary record, but this answer is for anyone who wonders about references. If it doesn't apply to you today...it may someday in the future because it's a jungle out there:

Former employers can say anything they WANT to a golf buddy or colleague or acquaintance that they already knew at your new company on the TELEPHONE or IN PERSON, and they ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS do...

The laws are unenforceable unless the reference is in WRITING. Most companies do the "official reference check," PLUS the "unofficial" reference check. They call their acquaintances at your old company.

Lawyers are the worst about this. This happens quite often in the legal field where attorneys mix and mingle, both at the courthouse, other attorney's conference rooms for depositions with court reporters, each other's offices for meetings with both their clients, by conference call, at mediations, at arbitrations, and socially both casually and at professional social functions. Attorneys are social with one another and then turn around and have a battle with their opponent in court, then have a game of golf together and laugh off the final outcome of the case. Lawyers are well versed in employment law basics regardless of what type(s) of law they personally practice and know all the ins and outs and ways to bend the law or avoid the law and detection of their illegal activities with regard to giving references or obtaining them on former employees. Attorney ex-employers are often vindictive, unfair, arrogant, wrongheaded, and show a lack of interest in the truth, if not a strong willingness to deceive your future employer out of spite (more than likely spite for something the former employee did that was righteous or didn't do that was unrighteous). One would think that those in the field of law would have more respect for honesty than other fields, but they can be the very worst offenders in today's decaying civilization because they use their legal KNOW-HOW to get away with breaking...the law. Instead of following the spirit of employee protection laws, they merely learn the laws in order to circumvent them with cunning. In fact, I dare say more lies, fabrications, butt-covering and vindictive evil behavior is going on today with regard to employee references than BEFORE laws were enacted supposedly protecting employees! The legal field is very small (in more ways than one).

But it's true that ANY company can engage in illegal conversations ...that aren't in writing. Don't fool yourself - THEY ALWAYS DO IT.

For some unsuspecting hardworking nice folks out there, this might explain the mystery behind:

* mutiple good job interviews with no actual offers

* long job hunts

* uncomfortable and perplexing interviewers and interviews that don't seem truly geared toward giving you an opportunity for the job but may be more geared toward collecting information for their buddy (your ex-boss)

* a strange new tendency to be put in for temp work that is undesireable or even totally unacceptable (such as being sent to impossible assignments for impossible bosses with impossible equipment and impossible working environments). Don't be fooled by the fact that your hyper-happy temp agency agents smile to your face and pretend to be working for you when they are ONLY WORKING FOR THEIR CLIENTS, THE EMPLOYERS. Often these folks are also social with the employers they send you to--how do you think they got the account? They networked. They know which are the GOOD temp assignments and they KNOW which are the BAD temp assignments. They will send you to the crappy ones as a favor to their buddy, your ex-boss.

* a tendency for permanent placement headhunters to totally ignore you until (interestingly) 24 hours AFTER you finally accepted a job offer (that you finally found on your own in the paper)

These are indicators that you are being blackballed, it's just not in WRITING.

Hey folks, it's the Jerry Springer Show...behind the scenes in corporate America--again, especially law firms. The truth, honesty, valor, class, character, humility, fairness: have long left the corporate scene. Nice folks that actually believe employers are following the law are always the last to find out."

Would atheists volunteer to go to schools and teach kids to recognize the tricks used by religious people?

…tricks used by religious people to manipulate children into their religion?

Because atheism is not really something that can be taught, I don’t think it’s possible for someone to make someone else an atheist. All atheists can do is to remove the shadow of religious deceit from the minds of children. This can be achieved with a few simple truths like how all religions claim that only their beliefs are true and all the others are false but there is the same distinct lack of evidence for all religious beliefs. Atheists can show children how religious people will try to emotionally manipulate them into believing what they are told is truth and how their natural skepticism is beaten down with fabricated stories designed to inspire fear and guilt.

I’m sure the benefits of this would be quickly observed but do you think any atheists would think the effort is worth it? I mean, religious people would fight tooth and nail to keep their children ignorant of these simple truths.

Would atheists volunteer to go to schools and teach kids to recognize the tricks used by religious people?
Actually, many do. Not atheism per se, which despite the sillyarsed claims of others is NOT a belief but a lack thereof (funny how no one talks of a lack of belief in Harry Potter or the Easter Bunny as a belief, isn't it?)

But anyway, many atheists teach, both professionally and as volunteers, logic and critical thinking courses - the end result of which, if applied to religion's claims, is atheism. As well, several atheists I know have volunteered to appear at schools in comparative religion classes as guest speakers.

So, yes would be the answer.
Reply:I'm sure there are many who would be willing to, but that doesn't make it right.

Just like it wouldn't be right, in my opinion, for any given religious group to send people to a public school to teach the religion.
Reply:Atheism can be "taught" or "learned" since it is a belief. But I think atheists have better things to do.
Reply:that's silly

and that's a parents job anyway!
Reply:Yeah, anyone who argues against an atheist is a complete liar and hates the truth. Gotcha.

When you write rhetoric slamming all religious people, you might want to be a little less sweeping in your statements. That way you can trick more people.
Reply:if religion is banned in schools then i feel atheism should be as well. its only fair.
Reply:The schools and government would never allow it. Religion is a great tool to pacify the masses, teach them respect and loyalty to authority, what purpose would education system and the government have in helping atheists do that.

For the greater good of teaching thruth, lol, yeah right, people have been punished for thousands of years for that.

Good thought though.
Reply:An attempt to teach kids critical thinking skills would be a great and noble thing to do, I'd certainly volunteer.
Reply:Freedom of religion would prevent them from doing that. But I see that you think it's supposed to be freedom from religion. You are entitled to your opinion, but not entitled to force it on others. Isn't that what atheists accuse religious people of doing?
Reply:First, there's a flaw in your logic, but it's another trick. Wicca says that all good religions are right, but this is another trick for dragging in the ones who are undecided but want to be "better safe than sorry."

Personaly, as an atheist, I don't give a rat's patoot wether I am seen as a bad guy. I'd be willing to go to any school that would have me and simply speak logicly on the level of the children, but I would let them decide. Chose any religion, I will tell you about it, the tricks it uses, and let you decide, any religion in the world, or atheism.
Reply:my question is why would you even bother with trying to destroy an other's faith?

As a former agnostic I know that faith is beyound reason, however faith is only a problem when it is misused as a motivation for evil. If it motivates some one to do good for those around them, then be happy some one is helping or doing some thing beautiful.
Reply:I'd take that job...where can I sign up???
Reply:No..... It's not my place. That's the parent's job!
Reply:Boy it would be neat if they would come here to do that, I bet you, there would be a few less Democrats voting in the upcoming elect. Why don't you all give it a try here first? OK?
Reply:I have often thought that a basic course in magician's tricks and the arts of deception might be a good start. It would be a good fit with teaching critical thinking skills.

The kids would end up with the practical experience instead of just being told about how hoodwinking works.

Maybe something could work out through the Randi Foundation.

-------

I think the idea of teaching how to be sceptical of outrageous claims would be a benefit to the county, but it would run contrary to the interests of the people in power who desire easily lead populations.
Reply:I would be more concerned about the cattle mentality of people blindly following the media. The most destructive example of manipulating tricks is done in politics and the power of the media to divert the attention.
Reply:WHAT?!

Funny but my friend was raised atheist and guess what? He's an atheist!!!

For a group that claims intellectual superiority, I just can't believe some of the things that come out on this forum.

See I can say that atheists close off a very vital portion of human existance that would be akin to locking children in a closet......just like you can say that religious deceive children.

As far as "natural skepticism" goes......it shows that you don't have children. Children are naturally trusting and believe what they are told. It's only after dealing with HUMANS that distrust and skepticism roots in.

Finally...I must address this yet again....."This can be achieved with a few simple truths like how all religions claim that only their beliefs are true and all the others are false but there is the same distinct lack of evidence for all religious beliefs"

Hey isn't this exactly what you are attempting to do? To claim you are the only belief that is true (no god) and all others are false (religious are manipulative and deceive) without any proof (you can not prove non-existance like I can not prove existance)?
Reply:No. It is none of our business how many heads and arms the god they may worship in the privacy of their homes has, just as long as they keep it out of school science class.
