Why the "Flaws" remain in Hindu Society?

a well wisher:-"Hindus need to look and find flaws in their society--Casteism, untouchability, inequality, social injustice, customs like dowry, etc

All are Socio-Political issuses--NOT RELIGIOUS ISSUES. "Caste" will remain in India as long as "Caste" is the Vote Bank -which runs across all Religions- "Matrimonial Advertisements" in Leading English news Papers in all 6 Metropolis--Hindu,Muslim,Christians ,Sikhs,Jains ask a boy or girl ONLY by CASTE name. All so called "Forward" communitIes are "Fighting" to include their castes in Backward Community for admissions in Govenment Medical/ Engineering colleges/Jobs.In Southern States 69% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste/Tribe/Most backward/backward Castes-In 31%."Merit seats" also they can compete. The Supreme Court ruling of "CREAM ELIMINATION" among backward castes was fought tooth and nail by all Political parties.Indians settled ABROAD do not fight for Caste, since NO RESERVATIONS INVOVED

Why the "Flaws" remain in Hindu Society?
People in power have no idea what Hinduism is and this is evident in their policy making.

The caste system is a grossly misunderstood concept and is prevalent in its current form only because of unscrupulous, egoistic Brahmin priests who preach false interpretations of the Vedas regarding what it says about social classification of people. This was and is still being done by them to feed their egos and for material gain.

It may take another 100 years at least before major changes are made to Government policy and Hindu society by which time there hopefully will be no hardcore fanatics left to hinder the progress of the people.

Until then, these "flaws" will remain.

By the way, not just Hindu society, but all societies have different problems that ultimately are due to a misunderstanding of religion.
