My boyfriend can be really dumb. He has a baby mama and she is crazy. My boyfriend have tried to make things easy but she fights us tooth and nail. The bottem line is that we are not even sure if the baby is his. So he is supposed to go with him to sign up for the paternity test. Last weekend she flipped out and scratched him up. He didn't call the police. Now she doesn't want to go sign up for the test and wants to do an at home test. Which is not legally binding. I know my boyfriend is going to get screwed. How come he doesn't see it? Why can't he hold his ground and tell her what is going to happen. I feel he is giving her too much power...am i wrong?

It's not about you. This is between him and her and he will have to deal with it. Let him, even though you don't agree with how he is handling it. Give him the respect he doesn't get from his ex. And if he does get screwed, please don't say "I told you so." It doesn't help, only hurts, and doesn't change anything.

Reply:He must take a legally binding test!! If he doesn't, he will be blamed for the baby even if it isn't his. If it is his, you can figure out a way to deal with it. Not knowing is not a choice, and I don't know of an "at home" test that would be accurate. Do they even exist? Does he like the game that is being played with the baby mama? If he does, run, girl, run!!
