My dog is fixed but this hot and ready male dog came into our yard and tried to moun t her. She didn't runb away and she faught me tooth and nail to not move her away from the male dog...

Not all mounting is sexual in nature with dogs. It's also how they show dominance over one another. This is why you will see male dogs mounting other males and even female's mounting males.
Reply:Think about it...if you were fixed so that you could not have children...would YOU stop wanting SEX? Yes it does somewhat kill the drive, but it is animal instinct...it is still there.

Reply:My Dalmation is fixed as well however he still goes after the same pillow in our house and we have to constantly take it away from him. He was fixed at 6 months old and he is now 11 years old! I guess somethings never change!
