I recently got hit hard in the mouth with and albow while playing basketball. My lip swelled, and my teeth felt so bad. Like they hurt so much they felt numb. It is now 6 hours after the accident and it still hurts when i bite My nails or eat with my front teeth (the teeth that were hit.) I am afraid the nerve is dead because it hurts really badly. the tooth is not loose or anything, but i am still afraid.
Tooth dying?
Go to your dentist and get an x-ray.
If it's dying it should show up on the picture. BUT if it doesn't show anything it could dye anytime-a year, 20 years whenever.

Contact your dentist and don't bite your nails or bite with those teeth..... best to let them rest
