My daughter's tooth?

My 11 month old has 8 teeth. I fed her black beans and rice for lunch yesterday and I have noticed a spec of black on the back of her bottom front tooth. I have tried brushing to get it out and it's not budging. I've tried using my finger nail but she likes to bite down. OUCH! What should I do?

My daughter's tooth?
It's probably black bean or pepper. I've had spots on my teeth that didn't budge for days after brushing. Sometimes little things like that are so stubborn. Keep at it. Make sure she's drinking plenty of water. I highly doubt it's anything close to a cavity.
Reply:have you taken her to the dentist at all yet?
Reply:No need to worry about it, wait a day or two. She doesn't need to go to the dentist either, that comes at about age 3-5. It may go away but I don't think its life threating.
Reply:If this is something that was not there before I would not worry about it. You can let her chew on a toothbrush under your supervision and that may dislodge the spec of black.
Reply:Just give 'em some fishsticks to gum on.
Reply:It may not be possible to do this without getting bit, but you could try using dental floss. Also, maybe you could try one of those finger brushes that are for younger babies instead of the regular toothbrush. If none of these work, like others have said I'm pretty sure it will unlodge itself in a day or two. Good luck.
