Where is a good place to take my rabbit in to get her teeth and nails clipped?

I live in puyallup washington and someone gave me a rabbit.


I have had her for 2 weeks on the 13th and have to take her in to get her teeth and nails clipped. Know a good place? How much would it cost for both together?

Any vet should be able to do both. Not too sure of the cost but shouldn't be too much. Many years since I had the bunny.Teeth and nails will have to be done on a regular basis as they grow constantly. I placed sticks in with mine so that she would have something to chew on. My vet wanted to show me how to clip both the teeth and nails and I said NO THANKS I'll just pay to have it done.
Reply:The vets? Or a pet groomer. Or the vet can teach you how to do it then you dont have to spend any more money
Reply:A vet could probably do it for you. Her teeth on the other hand you should buy some wood blocks or something for her to chew on and that will file her teeth down.


Unless you don't know how to clip her nails then take her to a vet who knows how.
Reply:Well I would definately say that the vet would probably be the place to go. As for the price......mostlikely between $50-$70, but I really have no clue. I have never had to do it. I do it my self, I use big nail clippers to clip their nails (don't get too close to their blood line), and I give them a block of wood to chew on. I hope this helps. Good luck!!

The vet should take care of both of those. And honey--after the vet trip, go straight to the pet store and get tons of rabbit chew toys. I owned a rabbit for 10 yrs and we never had to have his teeth clipped. As long as they have something to chew on, it isn't necessary.
Reply:If your rabbits teeth grow so much that you have to clip them then they may have something wrong with them. As long as you give them a piece of hard wood to chew on they do not need to have them trimmed unless they have a condition where their teeth grow too fast.


I had a rabbit who's teeth needed to be trimmed every 2 weeks. We had to have her put down because she stopped eating because her teeth hurt too much.





You can trim they nails yourself. Just use a cat or dog nail trimmer. Trim about once a month. it is very east to do. Just do not cut below the bolld vein. If you do it will bleed a little but the rabbit will be okay.
