I have a Tooth and it hurts like hell?

i have this tooth by the side of my top front teeth and it hurts like hell. i messed with it dismorning trying to put it back into place. But it wont stop hurting. I tried saltwater, helped for about 2 minutes. Tried ice, doesnt work. I just stuck my thumb nail into the back of it and it goes waaay down. I think its an adult. Its not very loose. It just started today. Theres a huge bump above my tooth going to the top of my mouth. Any Suggestions on what to do? I think its a baby still. Please help.

Ice won't help, unless your face is swollen. If it's an abscess, either periodontal or apical, you need antibiotics asap before it spreads.





Since its Friday night, I guess you'll need an emergency visit. If there aren't any dental offices open, go to your local ER, then follow-up with a dentist.

Reply:Could be an absessed tooth, because of the lump. If thats the case, Ice does freeze the infection, but get to a dentist asap.
Reply:ok, your on the right track, brush ur teeth morning and night with ur normal toothpaste after meals rinse your mouth out with salt water and at night put tcp on it. i had the same thing so bad it brought me to tears. you could take 1 diplofenic sodium tablet and 1 amoxacilan tablet together 3 times a day. if u not registered at dentist go to ur gp he will prescribe them 4 u.
