What are your Comcast cable horror stories? I've had the same ongoing problem for 4 years!?

It all started with the HD boxes. After about 6 weeks they would die. After 10 boxes I was going to cancell but I was told by A tech that the new HD DVR boxes fix this problem and they are much better. The DVR stinks, you hit rewind the channel changes, the DVR states my memory is full when there's like 2 shows on my recorded list, the box just ramdomly shuts off, and not to mention the service and phone people are probably the worst in the industry. In my area they sue AT%26amp;T to be able to offer phone service but when AT%26amp;T wants to offer non-dish cable as competition they fight tooth %26amp; nail to block it. Now they offer new boxes which are even worse, in 4 years I've had over 20 boxes. My cousin gets the comcast triple play (cable, phone, DSL) for $99 per month, the cable goes out every 15 min., and the internet won't connect half the time. They told him, "You're just gonna have to deal with it because now you're under contract." and then hung up on him. 1st bill $145! What's your story?

When we moved, our only cable option was comcast. It was twice the money and less channels than when we had WOW cable/internet at our old place. Beside the fact that it was more expensive, they kept screwing up our bill. Less than a year goes by and I come home to find a note taped to my door that a tech came out to shut off our cable and to contact them to get this cleared up. They told me I owed them $300 in outstanding fees. Well, my bill was up to date so I was like WTF!! They were adiment to pay now or it will be shut off and will have to pay a fee to get it back on. I told them to you know what and come shut it off now so I will not pay anymore. After all was said and done, they sent me back $50 that I had overpaid. Go figure, they owed me $$, Idiots.
Reply:They would automatically subscribe me to stuff I didn't want and charge me for it....a TV guide book?? I mean come on...you get a TV guide everytime you flip through the channels!! Who needs to plan their TV watching months ahead?? And the customer service is horrific. I've never been so insulted by anyone...I can't believe they let these kinds of people answer the phones.

And the "On Demand" Never works! I have to try to watching something on there 20 times before it'll actually play. It usually just loads for 2 minutes then completely kicks me out of the "On Demand" feature.
Reply:Comcast sucks! I had the NBA League Pass last season and after a storm I lost service. Even though I had paid for the league pass in full before that point they had to charge me full price to add it back on to my service and I had to call up each time I got a bill to have them remove the charges. It was such a hassle, but living in an apartment I don't have a choice of who I can get my tv service from.
