I need help to getting my daughter, does anyone know anyway to get on a talk show or the news?

I met Jennifer Issermoyer around the end of May. We now have a beautiful baby girl, Lydia Nicole Issermoyer, born April 23, 2006. I attended a court date October 17, 2006. There was question of my paternity to Lydia at the time. I was court ordered to complete paternity testing and visit with Lydia at the Children and Youth office. I complied with this. At the next court date on January 23, 2007, issues of my disability came up. I was not fairly evaluated. I have been attending ot/pt therapy then but it is not oriented around child care; nor did they know of any resources. PLEASE HELP!! Jennifer and I are fighting tooth %26amp; nail for our daughter. Jennifer's mother has now filed for custody for our daughter in private court with intentions to cut us out from our daughter, Lydia's life. Being that it's a private court matter, we are not receiving legal representation because we cannot afford it. I feel strongly discriminated against because of my disability and financial status. I thank you for taking the time to read this. I have been searching high and low for help. I hope with all of my heart that you can fight with us. My daughter is worth every last ounce of our strength. She needs us %26amp; we need her.

My best advice to you is to contact Good Shepherd. They have many people that are affiliated with the home that help the disabled once they are discharged. They may even have some lawyers on staff that could help you pro bono.

I am from Bucks county so I am familiar with Good Shepherd.I would think they would be your best option to contact,at least they have experience in helping the disabled and should be able to point you in the right direction.

I am sure Good Shepherd could help you with a life skills class that would help you take care of your daughter with your particular disabilities.

Your daughter is worth fighting for.Good luck to you.
Reply:I don't know where you are but type in pro bono lawyer and your state and a list of discounted lawers should come up. Contact your local state university that offers law classes they usually have lawyers that work pro bono-free too.
Reply:I don't really know if anyone can help you in this situation exceot a lawyer. But i wish you good luck nd hope you get your daughter. Trust in God and remember that everything happens for a reason. Good luck.
Reply:To start with the grandparents have no rights to there grandchild unless they can prove you completely unfit to raise the child. Financial is not a ground to prove a parent unfit in a court of law for a grandparent. You and your Jennifer need to put your differences aside and work together for Lydia. With your disability you should have access to legal aid to help with this case. You can also research other non profit organization to aid the disabled. You are not unique in this situation a lot of parents and grandparents try to claim the disabled are unfit to take care of a child which is not always the case and these organization and coalitions are there to assist.
Reply:I would contact the Family Law clinic at one of the local Law Schools; if you're in Bethlehem, you're not far from Villanova, University of Pennsylvania, Widener, etc. Other options include orgnizations such as the YMCA, Legal Aid, Pro Bono Resource Center, etc. Also, I would avoid using true names of individuals involved, while posting to the Web, as your daughter's Mother may use that information to say you are trying to slander her.

Also, since you're about 2 hours from Baltimore, I would look up Ziya Gokaslan, M.D., Director of the Spine Center at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital. He is widely known as the best spinal neurosurgeon in the World, Board certified in Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and Oncology. He may be able to do something with your spinal injury, after appropriate review of your MRIs and a clinic visit.

Good luck!
